Rob and Dani Mattisinko are a full-time husband-and-wife real estate team specializing in luxury home sales throughout North Scottsdale.
With the tagline "Not Just Realtors, Real People," Rob and Dani are especially passionate about selling McDowell Mountain Ranch because they've experienced every stage of life there themselves.
"After living in and selling real estate in MMR for 20 years, we can truly say no one knows the neighborhood and appreciates the value of its amenities as well as we do," says Rob.
The Mattisinkos moved to Sienna Canyon from Long Island in 2003.
"We moved into the house as newlyweds, then formed friendships with other young families as our kids went through the neighborhood schools. Now, we're almost empty nesters, hanging out with 65-year-olds playing pickleball!" Rob says.
The Mattisinkos enjoy an active lifestyle, trying new restaurants, and exploring scenic parts of Arizona.
"Most often, however, there's no reason to leave our bubble! We're also grateful to be driving distance from so many more fun things to do," Dani says.
"When we have a listing outside of MMR, we explore that area through the eyes of a new home buyer. No matter what area we sell, we learn what's unique in order to best market the property," she adds.
Their typical day involves managing different aspects of their real estate business. Rob brings years of market knowledge, pricing, and negotiation expertise to the business, while Dani is a Certified Luxury Home Marketing Specialist.
Rob always puts clients' needs first and personally oversees the entire sales process. He implements a proactive, aggressive approach coupled with a calm demeanor and consultative style to offer wise counsel and deliver results.
"Now that our 16-year-old drives and the carpool years are in the past, we have even more freedom to spend evenings or happy hours with clients," Dani says.
Family First
"Although life can be hectic, we still manage to prioritize family," Dani continues.
Rob and Dani have two daughters. Rachel is a freshman at Arizona State University pursuing a path toward a career in optometry, while Perri is a sophomore at Desert Mountain High School.
"Perri is a natural leader, very athletic, and enjoys snowboarding and being surrounded by friends. Rachel is driven, decisive, creative, my personal fashion stylist, and enjoys concerts in Downtown Phoenix," says Dani.
They also have a four-year-old Labradoodle named Ringo, who has quickly become the center of their world.
"We can't imagine life without him," Rob says.
Their love for both the community and their dog inspired them to create a Yappy Hour Club, where residents and their pups gather at Paradise Lane Park on Friday evenings at sunset. The Mattisinkos recently hosted the third annual Yappy Hour special event for the community.
Looking back to 2003, the Mattisinkos reflect on how much life has changed.
"When we moved in, our home felt ginormous because we moved from a tiny apartment in NYC and we had no furniture! At first, the only rooms we focused on were the toddler rooms."
A Home That Has Grown With Us

"Eventually, with more disposable income, we added a home bar and adult entertaining spaces. In the following phase, we changed flooring, smoothed textured walls, and painted cabinetry. Most recently, we finally renovated our primary bathroom and kitchen," says Dani.
"Often neighbors and clients ask us how to remodel with a future sale in mind. We advise keeping the most important—expensive or difficult-to-change—items classic. You can easily update and add personality to your spaces with accessories as styles evolve. We're blessed that the size and layout of our house still work for us," she adds.
Rob agrees.
"I've looked at thousands of homes as a Realtor, and I can still say our home is our favorite. The layout allows us to repurpose areas within to meet our daily needs. And with our views—the mountains, sunsets, and city lights—and a home in a community we love so much, we see no reason to move! Ironically, we're the Realtors who have never moved."
As Realtors, Rob and Dani guide people through the home-buying process, helping them discover what's most important to them and what things can be overlooked or easily amended.
"You don't have to be a serious buyer or seller to contact us. We also offer knowledge and resources about the market, home maintenance, Scottsdale lifestyle, and so much more."
Now in 2024, Rob says:
"We're now in the perfect middle-age zone, but it's not without challenges. We're responsible for teenage kids while also dealing with aging parents."
After 20 years, their family is still evolving and transitioning into a new stage of life.
"We're lucky to have our parents and kids here in Arizona. If your parents—or children or grandchildren for that matter—don't live in Scottsdale, think about getting them here!" Rob says.
Through it all, the Mattisinkos continue to lean on the core values that have guided both their marriage and their business, helping them navigate challenges while finding success, peace, and happiness.
Their motto says it best:
"Don't Quit Until You're Proud."
Cheers to 20 Years!
The Mattisinkos are grateful for the friendships, memories, and opportunities they've experienced in McDowell Mountain Ranch over the past two decades. As they look ahead to the next chapter, they remain committed to serving the community they love and helping others discover what makes MMR such a special place to call home.
